Into The Wild
Into the Wild written by Jon Krakauer tells the harrowing story of a young Chris McCandless and his horrifying death. Jon was inspired to write the book after writing a magazine article on Chris's untimely death. Krakauer also found that he strongly identified with Chris, spending much of his life as a mountain climber who often rejected human interaction. He didn't understand how Chris's sudden death came to be and wanted answers. He retraced the footsteps of Chris and met those who made the last years of Chris's life amazing. Into the Wild goes into Chris' story, the author's own experiences, as well as reflects and analysis the themes of wanderlust, youth, and materialism.
